CEOs of Goldman Sachs and Royal Bank of Canada headline

Moody’s Banking and Finance Conference 2019 will explore how rapid technological change is amplifying challenges and opening opportunities for North American banks and finance companies at a time of significant uncertainty.

Firms are evolving their strategies to take advantage of technology to better satisfy complex and expanding customer demands and defend against tougher competition. Set against a backdrop of increasingly uncertain markets, firms are keeping a keen watch on a few key sources of disruption – heightened competition from shadow banks, bursts of market volatility and geopolitical instability – while also keeping an eye on the looming risk of a credit cycle downturn.

We have two senior industry executives as our headline speakers:

·      David Solomon, Chairman and CEO of Goldman Sachs, will discuss Goldman's efforts to expand and enhance its franchise into adjacent sectors.

·      David McKay, President and CEO of Royal Bank of Canada, will focus on on the bank’s diversification into the US capital markets and wealth management sectors, that have long been a core strength in its home market.

There will be opportunities to engage with Moody's experts and to delve deeper into credit trends for specific sectors including the global investment banks, regional banks and specialty finance.

Moody’s Banking and Finance Conference 2019 will provide a platform to network and to hold critical conversations in an increasingly complex global landscape. This is a must-attend event for those who want to make sense of what disruptive forces lie ahead and learn how to best prepare for them.

Who should attend?

The conference is for senior-level investors, risk managers, analysts and issuers.

Registration is required for attendance.
