Hosted by Moody’s Investors Service in partnership with the Climate Bond Initiative, the Climate Week Briefing will focus on the pace and cost of carbon transition, and the financial tools deployed to facilitate it.

Please join us at Moody’s fourth annual Climate Week Briefing taking place on September 26th when we bring together senior industry executives with Moody’s analysts for dynamic discussions on the future of carbon transition. This briefing will highlight affected industries, discuss how the risk is being transferred across asset classes and sectors, touch on commonly accepted carbon emission projections, and explore the recent developments in the green bond market.

This panel will focus on the extent and pace of climate adaptation efforts taking place, particularly from the perspective of cities, states and governments. We will touch on the commonly accepted carbon emission projections (such as those published by the International Energy Agency) and attempt to tackle the big question of who – and how – will bear the cost of the climate bail out.

This panel will cover recent developments in the conversation around what constitutes a “green” investment, including the concept of “transition bonds.” The discussion will also focus on how global standards may be facilitating or inhibiting growth in the green bond market.
