FAQ

Q: Do I need to book a hotel room?

A: Your hotel reservation will be made for you at The Grand, Brighton, based on the dates specified in your registration. You do not need to make any reservations with the hotel yourself.

Please contact Zoe Perkins if you have any questions regarding your accommodation or if you have made any changes to your arrival and departure dates. Rooms will be ready for check in from 17:30 on Monday 11th and a bag drop will be in place until then.

Q: How do I book my travel?

A: Please book your travel with your usual team administrator, in line with the typical travel policies.

Q: When shall I travel?

A: From the London office: Travel to arrive on Monday 11th between 09:30 and 10:30. From any non-London office: Travel to arrive on Sunday 10th.

Q: Is there a cost?

A: All accommodation and meals will be provided for the duration of the event. You will be responsible for any additional charges you incur, which will be payable on departure. You may be asked to leave a card with reception to pay for any incidentals.

Q: What is the travel and expenses policy?

A: All meals from morning refreshments on Monday to the afternoon break on Tuesday will be provided, therefore no claims for food or drinks should be made during this time. Food or drink incidentals will not be covered from room mini bars.

Please arrange to travel in groups where possible, if taking a taxi from the airport or train station.

Q: What's the dress code?

A: Conference | Business casual
Awards | Cocktail attire / evening wear*
Run | On Monday evening there is an optional 5k run, so come equipped if you want to join in.

*Optional. If you would like to, you can dress up for the awards. Business casual is acceptable too.

Q: I have special dietary requirements, can these be accommodated?

A: These will be accommodated if you declared them during the registration process. If you didn't complete this part of the registration, please let Zoe Perkins know as soon as possible.

Q: How do I get to the hotel?

A: Arrivals

Flying:
Gatwick Airport is 45 minutes by taxi and 30 minutes by train from the Grand. Heathrow airport is 1 hour 15 minutes by taxi. Please arrange to travel in groups where possible.

Local taxis:
Taxi Brighton: 01273 30 11 11 / www.brightontaxisairports.com
Radio Cabs: 01273 20 40 60 / www.brightontaxis.com

By train: The hotel is only 12 minutes walk from Brighton Railway Station, or three minutes in a taxi. Trains take around one hour from London Victoria or London Bridge. Please adopt the usual company travel policy and reclaim any travel costs through your expenses.

By car: Driving is strongly discouraged. For those driving, please contact Zoe Perkins for more information about parking and the related costs.


Departures: Taxis should be booked to take you to the airport for your return flights. If you prefer to take a taxi to Brighton Railway Station, please arrange to travel in groups where possible.

A: Check-in for those arriving Sunday: 15:00

Check-in for those arriving Monday: 17:15 (bag drop only before this time)

Check-out before 08:30 on Tuesday

Q: What facilties are there at the hotel?

A: There is a gym within the hotel available for complimentary use between 7:00 and 21:00.

Additionally there is a spa, which is available if you book treatments. Any costs associated with these must be met by you.
