Debashis Dey is a partner at White & Case, divides his time between the London and Dubai office and is a member of our European Structured finance practice as well as the Global Head of the Islamic Finance Practice. He has extensive experience advising international and domestic investment banks, corporates and governments on capital markets, securitisation and all types of structured finance, including NPL transactions, loan aggregator transactions, regulatory capital transactions, Islamic Finance(bank finance and Sukuk) and other asset classes. He has worked extensively with Government entities in large-scale funding platforms at the National level.
His experience includes leading on numerous product innovations in conventional and Islamic finance, including transactions such as the first covered bond in the US, the first UKEF Sukuk structure for Emirates Airlines, 'first-time' securitisations in Europe and the Middle East as well as convertible and straight debt issues for corporates in the Reg S and Rule 144A markets. His transaction experience also covers various jurisdictions, including the GCC (UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia), Europe, the US and Asia.
