Helen Francis is a Senior Analyst in Moody’s EMEA Infrastructure Finance team, based in London. She is responsible for a portfolio of unregulated and regulated utilities in Germany, Spain and CEE. Over the course of a long career at Moody’s, Helen has played a key role in the development of the Infrastructure Finance team, supporting development of its broad European coverage and strong reputation.
Helen’s views as an expert on the credit of European utilities are widely respected by companies, intermediaries and investors. She is frequently invited as a speaker for investor roundtables and other events.
In her Moody’s career, Helen has also followed a variety of telecommunication companies in the investment grade and high yield area.
Moody’s has a leading global Infrastructure Finance franchise, rating some US$2 trillion of corporate and project finance securities, representing more than 90% of all public bonds issued globally in the sector. 140 analytical sector staff cover more than 1,000 infrastructure issuers globally. Moody’s EMEA team of 50 specialists is responsible for rating around 416 issuers. The rating agency covers more than 11,000 corporate issuers and 135 sovereign nations.
Prior to joining Moody’s, Helen gained wide-ranging credit experience at a number of leading financial institutions including JP Morgan and Credit Suisse.
