Douglas Rowlings is a Vice President – Senior Analyst in the Corporate Finance Group at Moody’s Investors Service. Douglas covers non-financial corporates for Moody’s in the Middle East and Africa with a specific focus on mining, oil and gas along with telecommunications services and infrastructure providers.
In addition to presenting at Moody’s hosted conferences in Africa and the Middle East, Douglas has also presented at external conferences which include Bonds, Loans & Sukuk Africa and The Annual African Capital Markets Conference where he moderated a panel discussion. Mr Rowlings has also facilitated workshops hosted by the International Finance Corporation in Africa. Douglas regularly engages with print and broadcast media on issues impacting the corporates and sectors that he covers.
Prior to joining Moody’s, Douglas was a finance lecturer, course convenor and research supervisor at the University of Cape Town also holding a Teaching Assistant position at the University's Graduate School of Business on the MBA program. Mr Rowlings completed a winter internship at JP Morgan in Johannesburg in 2008 while completing his studies at the University of Cape Town.
Douglas holds an Advanced Master of Commerce Degree Specialising in Finance in the field of Financial Management from the University of Cape Town and is CFA Level III candidate.
